I imagined everyone sat in your house at the dinner table with no tops on this evening. REALLY, I DID!
:rotfl:
CAFC will have to kill you then SS... Pooh is the devil in her eyes.
Hey salesshopper! Hows the LO? What date did you have your bubba, Im sorry I cant remember but I was a bit busy at that time!
SOOORRRRYYY Becles! *Flicks hair* I cant help it, it's because Im worth it!Even though you dont even know who I am. Probably.
LO is lovely very content at the moment she was born on the 15th June. Can she have some of ayana's lovely hair its fab- u seem to be totally enjoying your LO.
CAFC - I'm extremely jeolous of your super sleeper can I have some of his zzzzz vibes please and actually while I'm on can I have a few oz of weight as well.
Ava got weighed on Thurs and shes not put on as much as they would like she was between 50-75 percentile when born went up to over 75 then dropped 3 weeks ago 2 just over 50 now shes just under 50. The HV said I'll have to take her back next week to get weighed and quote " I know we say bf is best but u might have to top up with formula we'll decided next week" Had my 5 yr old with me chattering , Ava was screaming as she was in the nude so I didn't have time to discuss in more detail but I'm not too keen on this. Can any breastfeeders remember how long their little ones feed at 12 weeks Ava only feeds for about 10mins at the most but she feeds very well not messing about strong swallowing, then she latches off I offer the other breast but shes not interested. The HV says she should be feeding for 20-30 mins each time ( I do feed her every 2-3 hours apart from ar night when she gos a full 5 hours). Just after general advice really as I never had any problems with my first child ( don't remember feeding her for 20-30 mins).
Happy Birthday to Alex and belated birthday wishes to Jack.
Sorry for mammoth postMam 2 Big E Nov 4 & Little A June 10:happylove0 -
if she seems full, happy and content and is feeding well, and she has the option of both breats I dont really see the problem....
And surely if she's just around the 50th percentile, shes totally average?
And theres no "we'll decide" about it, you're her mama, you decide. if you are happy, then you carry on....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Ah, i'm sure she will be sitting soon...like you say, she will be fine then:)
I am tired although I have no idea why? I went to bed about 7.30, because I had a big row with dh... apparantly my dress sense is horrible, I dress my daughter like a tomboy and my clothes are tomboyish too! I told him if he wants a slutty tart in a short skirt he best go look elsewhere...as for T being dressed like a tomboy I don't call a pretty floaty top with pretty butterflies all over and grey jeans with silver sparkly hearts and stitiching on them tomboyish!!!!
I have a stinky bum to change...

Salesshopper so long as your baby is gaining weight, is happy and healthy and making lots of wet and dry nappies you shouldn't feel obliged to think about introducing formula. Babies make their own growth curve. If she keeps dropping or if you're worried you might think about it, or maybe try offering the breast more often and see how she responds - but don't feel that you have to follow the HV's advice. As long as your baby's healthy there is no "we'll decide." You decide.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Sales, how is she in herself? If she is happy and healthy and giving you plenty of wet and dirty nappies then I really wouldn't worry about what centile she is on... They all feed differently and for different lengths of time so one baby might take 30mins for a feed but a more efficient feeder could take 10mins... How does it feel when she feeds, is there any discomfort that would indicate a poor latch?
And you do not have to top up with formula if you don't want to, she's your baby not the health visitors... She's there just to advise you not tell you what to do...
And fwiw... Caitlyn dropped many centiles... The health visitor asked me to go back fortnightly but I didn't go more often than monthly / 2 monthly because I didn't feel there was a problem... She's a very small 15 month old wearing 9 month clothes... She eats more than my 6 year old in any one sitting and still bf 3 or 4 times a day... She's obviously just meant to be little...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Sorry, tiredness is kicking. I'm sitting with my books open and talking to an old college buddy and juts fel back into the ayrshire twang, we say 'yeah but, but you know how, but but' and it doesn't actually mean anything.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Thanks guys - she is absolutely happy and feeds very well but just stops after 10mins - I sometimes think the HVs don't think about how they phrase things and put peoples back up when there is no need - I have been chewed up over this since Thurs but you have all said exactly what I thought I feel much better this thread is fantastic. As for offering her more feeds everytime she has stirred since Thurs she has had a boob stuck in her face lol.Mam 2 Big E Nov 4 & Little A June 10:happylove0

There is a group of you who have decided MOTM is a troll and you are not going to be persuaded against this.
Personally (and no offence to Bruno), I think MOTM is just being male. Occasionally his posts are confusing (Somerset / Devon? How about living close to the border of both?) and sometimes couched in misunderstanding and the wrong language (such as clearing up his daughter's TOTM, perfectly understandable if you had the teenage periods that I had). Nothing that I would consider suspicious, just a man coping in a woman's role.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5
