re-plastering kitchen - fair price?

The room is about 3x4m2, ceiling hight 2.4m
there are 3 windows (one quite large) and 2 door ways.

The quote we've had for bonding and skimming the 4 walls and ceiling is £870 (280 for cieling, 590 for walls)

Does this seem correct?

Thanks in advance

I recently searched the forums to try and get a rough estimate how much skimming a room would cost and alot of people seemed to say it was around 250-300 per room.
Not sure if that included the ceiling, but if its more like £850 per room, I seriously need to rethink my rennovation budget!

Asked a mate this afternoon who does the job for a living.

He initially said it's a job that has to be seen to give a fair price as you don't say whether the plasterer has to strip the walls back to re-render, fill in odd spots that happen to be "live", or whatever.

Off the top of his head though, if the walls are bare and he is supplying the materials then your quote is about right.
If he had to strip back himself and then do the job from start to finish, he'd be wanting a bit more than the £870 you've been quoted as that is (in his words) "been priced to get the job"
