Devon weather in late Oct?

I managed to get a holiday at Haven Devon Cliffs form oct 23rd for 4 nights. However, it doesn'tn come with heating in the bedrooms. Does anyone know what the weather is like then?
We went to Haven Caister in East Anglia last year at the same time, and it was just freezing, what with the strong winds!!! We would have enjoyed ourselves better if we hadn't been so cold.
Do you think I need to upgrade to gold, as it's the only one that offers heating in the bedrooms, that is, if they allow me to upgrade as I booked through the Sun offer.
Thanks for any replies. :A

We've been to Devon in late October/early November and had the most fantastic weather - walking in shirt sleeves all day - just brilliant. BUT.... I would say this is the exception. We stayed end Oct two years ago and woke up to a really heavy frost.
I think you've basically got two options: either upgrade, or take lots and lots of really warm clothes, and a hot water bottle! Also, I can well recommend going to your local market stall and buying several metres of fleece blanket - these are brilliant at keeping you warm, won't cost much and you can snuggle up to keep warm!0 -
We always take our own fan heater. If you haven't got one you can pick them up new for less than a tenner, maybe cheaper than a upgrade.Next year we'll be millionaires!0

We used to have a fan heater, will have to hunt it down I think. After all, electricity and gas is all paid for already, included in the service charge.
Jenny ( I like your username), I suppose it all depends on the fabulous British weather, doesn't it? But you were lucky!
Is it normally windy in Devon, near Exmouth? East Anglia, I now know, is soooooo windy, especially near Great Yarmouth! BRRRRR0 -
Been to Devon Cliffs several time but not in October... who know what our wonderful diverse weather will have in store.. but my guess is it will be cool and windy , going at that time of year you just take your chances....
Good luck but make sure you have coats and jackets.....have a good time..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Thanks. I've just paid the balance of my holiday! I don't think I will upgrade. The leaflet sent with the booking confirmation asked for £4 pppn, that will make it £80 for 4 nights for 5 of us!!!0
