I have just received from the above 4 books and backpack. I have an invoice for £8.48. I don't know what to do next as I no longer can find the thread telling me what to do. The kids are going mad for them and I don't know whether we can keep them or not - if anybody knows of this post please help I was just about to switch off and do some housework

Hi,
You can send back the 2 trial books, and not pay anything except the return postage. My package didn't actually tell me which were the free ones, I had to check on the website.
I'm a bit miffed tbh, I signed up for a free backpack, dora book and poster, all of which came, but according to the website, the dora book wasn't one of the free ones. I did think about complaining, but just couldn't be bothered.0 -
The website is here:

From memory, you need to return two of the books. If you email/phone Grolier they will send you a prepaid label so that you can return the books free of charge.0 -
i received my package, but only had 5 books - and one of the missing ones was a free one, so all i ended up with was 1 book, a backpack and a poster, and then it cost me 60p to send the books back - not the best offer i've ever had, but never mind!0

This is one of the original threads about Dora Book Club.
I just e-mailed Grolier and requested confirmation of which books had to be returned. I asked for a pre-paid label in order to return the books I did not want and wrote a note on the invoice asking them to cancel the account as i DID NOT wish to receive any further books. I have done this a couple of times with Grolier and never had any problems. They do sometimes take a day or so to respond to e-mails but very helpful. This way you get to keep the freebies and don't have to pay postage to return the trial books!0 -
The kids are delighted DD5 has already claimed the backpack and has filled it with bits and bobs already. I actually rang customer services and they said they will send somebody around collect it within 7 days, just to package everything up, and to make sure i get a receipt and keep it for 3 MONTHS. Looking at the original thread it says I can keep backpack a two of the books - cool. I will read the other two books to them tonight and then package them up!0

I only received three, but called Grolier (having had an email sent to them ignored for almost a week and aware of the impending date to send them back). The nice (and stressed sounding) lady told me she'd send me the missing book, cancelled my membership and then offered me the two books that had to be returned for £4 something!
I guess that they'd been overrun with Moneysavers ordering and returning!
Power to the Moneysavers :rotfl:
