Conned by the Goevernment
Hi,
The Government issued feed-in tarriffs for small generators and stated that systems commissed before July 2009 would be penalised throught the payback rate ie for a 2kw PV system the rate would be 9p instead of 36p.
This has been applied to me and I was wondering if there are any other generators, like me who are upset with this arbitary decision by the Governement.
If so have you managed to appeal and achieve any success in betterment?

How ere you conned, at the time that was the rate, they then increased the rate in April for new systems. So in effect they haven't conned you but haven't allowed older systems to get the new rate, this is not a con.
It could be argued it isnt fair but certainly no con as they honoured the price they originally agreed0 -
IMHO these schemes should be scrapped, the amount of energy generated is pitiful, and is being subsidised by everyone else.
Why subsidise middle class eco-bling?That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
When my kids were born I didn't get any paternity leave; these days people do get paternity leave. I think this is unfair that I should be penalised in this way and I should be allowed to claim this leave retrospectively.
My wife didn't get the £2,000 scrappage allowance when she traded in her car a few years ago - totally unfair that she should be penalised in that manner when othersa few years later got the allowance.
Just how far do you feel retrospective allowances should go back?
Put simply, you haven't been 'penalised' in any way; you received the subsidies that were in force at the time of the installation. Incidentally I suspect you got the £2,500 grant(or more in some areas) toward installation costs, that are not now available for those getting the FIT's - and that rate for PV panels is 41.3p a kWh(not the proposed 36p) for systems < 4kWp.0
