I purchased a couple of items from the River Island website and when it arrived the delivery note was missing.

Does anyone know how I can return the unwanted items? They are telling me that I can't without the delivery note! But they didn't put one in the package. :(

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried contacting them and asking?

Yes, I contacted them through email and that is exactly what they said. No returns without a delivery note! There is no contact number available on their website just an email address.

Have you got the confirmation of the order? This would have most of the details you require. Ring them and tell them you have order number, item numbers etc and ask if this would be sufficient or ask for a copy of the delivery note. They are just being a bit awkward!

Email River Island telling them that you are returning the items under the Distance Selling Regulation. You will then need to send the goods back to River Island (at your own cost as per their t's and c's and make sure they are suitably insured)

Unless you had an email stating DSR (stated in the DSR as a durable medium at time of purchase, i.e. not on a website which can be changed) as you did not receive such information in your package, you get up to 3 months to return your goods as opposed to the normal period.

Just ring them and ask them to email you a copy of the delivery note.
    Then return the items

Thank you all for your replies especially Foggster for the phone number as I didn't have that info before. There's only the option to email them on the website. Yes, I have my order confirmation too.

I will definitely be giving them a ring first thing Monday morning to see what they have to say for themselves.

Thanks again for your help everyone. Much appreciated.
