House Conversion!

I want to convert a 4 bed mid-terrace house, into 2 self contained flats.
It already has 2 bathrooms & 2 kitchens.

What would be the likely cost, in such a project?

Any advice would be gratefully received

depends like all things on how far you wish to go and any regulations? take into account the decent homes standard too (government website)
do you require two electrical supplys? one for each floor does each floor have its own bathroom, kitchen. possible replacement of the first door to each flat since they are becoming in effect two units. You would have to look at insurance too.The costs are always dependant upon the things needed to be done so, I dont think anyone can give you an over all costing because we cannot see what work is entailed. for example the electrical work and installation of two meters plumbing work again each floor should have its own isolator or otherwise paying the water rates maybe problematic (unless your paying that yourself).

I would look into insurance first especially with tenants just incase you have a fire.

I got Planning Permission granted today.

How do I go about getting building regs approved? Would I need to contact them before building works begins?
