A distant relative is on benefits. Her Father has died and will leave her about £140,000. Guess that`s a lot of the bennies gone until the cash runs out.

Not necessarily - it depends which Benefits she is on. Not all are means-tested (notably those for sickness and disabilty).(AKA HRH_MUngo)
