Is this dodgy ?? help needed with reply to ebay question....

I am selling an expensive ring on Ebay valued at £4700. I have received the question below from a prospective buyer in Spain & don't know how to answer it, it sounds dodgy to me. I would appreicate any help.......

Hello,

I'm very interested in buying your ring. Before I commit to buying it, I have to ask you a couple of questions, just to make sure everything will go smooth on both sides and I will get the item in time.

1. Are you able to ship the item to Spain if I would pay the shipping charges?
2. Would you be able to get it here in about 7 days?
3. Due to the fact that this is a high priced piece of jewelry, and I want us both to be safe, do you agree to use escrow as a safe method of payment?
4. What is your best asking price for this item?

I'm experiencing difficulties receiving emails by ebay's system so please reply to my email address: paul_conroy31@verizonmail.com so we can arrange shipping/payment details. Thanks, Paul
If someone ain't smiling, give them one of yours !!! :D

Just delete it. It's bound to be a scam of some sort! They'll probably use a fake Escrow service, so you think they've sent the money to the excrow service but they haven't. Then you send the item, and get no money

I agree with juno. Sounds like a scam in the making to me. Also they want you to reply by personal e-mail addy, sounds like they want to deal out of e-bay. Against the rules I know but would save on fees but I believe you wouldn't be covered in any way should it turn out to be scam.

We've had virtually IDENTICAL e-mails from abroad...( Spain and Germany being the worst offenders ) ...when selling higher priced items..i.e. cameras over £1500.

Trust us on this...AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! IT'S A SCAM!!!!

Yes.I know I shouted....we've had 5-6 attempts to catch us like this. It's 100% scam.
