Please run COMBOFIX
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
Shut down your anti virus
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be) ~ if there are loads of 'SNAPSHOT' pages then leave them out
If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download
Ran version, it said to update so I said yes. Half way through updating it crashed. I deleted it and downloaded it again but it won't run and just says that it has encountered an error, must close and do I want to send an error report to Microsoft.
I've tried rebooting laptop but Combofix still won't run. Any ideas ?

Who advised you to run combofix?
It's not advisable to run the program on your own. And it's not usually the first step in clearing an infection.
So do you have an infection? Please describe.0 -
I am following previous instructions given to me on this forum as I am giving my laptop the once over.0

I think just start a new topic here. I assume you ran malwarebytes? Can you post the log here?
Also did you run a hijackthis log? Please post that here too.
There's a special thing you have to do to make combofix rework I think if I am correct.0 -
Yes I already ran Malwarebytes, Yes I already ran HijackThis and Yes I already was going to be starting a new thread once DrWebb has finished virus scanning0

Did malwarebytes find anything? Combofix is used depending on the infection on your computer. Just continue with the posts here. I'm sure your title will catch people's attention.0
