Why do I get the feeling, you just want to run up as much in debt in your two years here and the foxtrot oscar?

As other people have said, get a company card or get them to foot the bill on currency exchange on your cards from home.

I don't know why you have this feeling. I am unable to get in debt. When they give you 200 pounds credit card and you have 4-5-6K going into your account how can you run up debt.

I raised the question just because I find this ridiculous. If you don't want to give advice and prefer to dig in it - go on.

I find your attitude towards this simple issue quite interesting as well. I suppose good old Britain is starting to develop phobia towards mirgaints or is thinking of them as an enemy.

Well, why not obtaining a CC in your home country that does not have a charge for using the card abroad? Then use it wherever you want in Europe? (Seeing as your ability to obtain credit there is better than in the UK).

They don't charge me in the EuroZone. The problem is the pound. An there is no such card available that I will not lose money in UK in my home country.

Well it has been 50 years in the making of being over-run by them - it should have happened a long time ago.

It is not my fault that you sold your country to migrants that currently have more rights than you nower days. In fact as high rate tax payer I am paying for their council houses and benefits. As I don't use NHS and any benefits you may assume that I may be find it even more unpleasant than the natives.

Let's foget about this and go back to my simple question - is there any fast way to build good credit score in this country.

Well, as you keep chopping and changing bank accounts, some providers (Abbey, Natwest etc) do allow to check your elligability for a CC on the search for a bank account - if on the phone or in branch it will do both at one go, if you are elligable, it will tell you all products you are elligable for.

But this is not the fault of the British banks that your country doesnt have a lender that can give you a CC without an overseas transaction fee - lobby your own lenders harder for it i guess.

Incidently this is why i mentionned the Euro/Dollar account ideas, you pay a small fee per annum for it but its a CC with no fee for its respective currency. Might be an idea to look into.

No, i got all that - i just dont understand why you STILL have that as, as per your comments:

    Well?

I'm not entirely sure wha the relevance in that is to your inability to gain a CC...

Well it may help explain the reason you are being declined...but its your call as to what you want to say.

    ?

That's your own doing is it not? You have chosen other accounts and from what you have said thus far, they havent rejected you for a basic account...

Well I've got 3 Visa Debit Accounts, arranged overdraft of 1000 and one credit card with low limit (200). No too bad for 8 months.

I just want a card with one thousand limit.

I would repeat my question. Is there any way to do it faster or I just need to wait another 2 months until Capital One will give me 1000.

Its not my country (i have the citizenship) but spend a majority of my time in the US. (Dual Citizen). I spend very limited time in the UK. I'm not even white but sympathize with the BNP...

Glad to hear you loathe it as much as everyone else...

Good idea...see post above, if not that, then perhaps the need to delve further...do you know what your credit score is?

Well the debit cards and current accounts may have been approved based on income and the fact it may be going into that account...were they approve with that limit to start with or did the O/D's come afterwards?

If those were immedietly approved, and the CC's aren't, there nay be something further wrong.

There's no guarantee Capital one will do it on the 4th statement - they say they do but even people who pay all their bills off in full every month dont get it increased...also they may only up it to say 500 and not a thousand.

What other CC's have you been refused for?

Need the actual details of which card and which lender, that will proabably have quite a few of the answers.

300 O/D was approved when moving to Halifax ... went to 1000 automatically at month 6 of my stay ... 3rd month of stay with them ...

1500 O/D was approved with Lloyds Offshore but they were waiting my probation period to come to end ... I moved from them to Halifax and settled the account ... so it is not relevant ...

I was approved online for 400 pounds limit with Tesco on month 4 and then declined by a letter based on Experian ...

Declined CC from Halifax on month 4 or 5 of my stay in UK ...

Than I was apporved of 200 limit CC with Capital One ...

And declined today NationWide CC ... although I asked them is there any reason to try, because if I will be declined I would prefer to do it in Decmber/January they insisted to try ... now I am thinking to appeal against their decision ...
