4 weeks to lose weight

Hiya

I've got a bit of a belly, didn't realise quite how bad it was till I had to have a short jog today (as I was running late) and for the first time ever I felt a belly wobble! Not best pleased about it TBH but now feeling the need to do something about it.

I have a function to go to in 4 weeks where I would like to look my best and would aim for a significant flab reduction.

I'm here looking for ideas for a diet to help me get rid of it, I dont have a great deal of time to exercise - although I am planning to start cycling to the station rather than driving on Monday. Time is short and money even tighter......

do you eat much bread? try cutting that down, made a big difference with me. do you eat much junk/takeaways? cut that out completely.

i'm not sure about significant flab reduction though...good luck, hopefully others will comment

Cor yeah, Id go with the bread being cut out. Ive lost 3 and half stone this year but last month I drifted back into eating the sandwiches or the crusty roll and I didnt lose an ounce, even though total calories were not increased. I realised what was happening, cut out all bread and in 3 days nearly 2 lb came off.

TBH, the answer is to eat less :) You could get a few pounds off easily in a month if you really use self control.

    Good luck

If you dont mind spending the money, Weight to Go for a month's supply of food - as long as you stick to it and not add extras - should sort you.

You could stop having carbs with your evening meal. I've done this and it's helped me lose weight. Just have your meat/protein and plenty veggies. You can still have carbs at breakfast and lunch, otherwise you get crabby :rotfl:Also cut out the booze, tough but effective!!
    Good luck!

There is only one foolproof way to lose weight, cut your calorie intake.

Energy in, energy out. All diets work to the same simple principle.

How much do you want to loose in this four week period? What age, weight and height are you?

To lose a pound you need to eat 3500 calories less than your body needs so we need to work out how many calories you burn in a day

Possibly try the Dukan diet? I really struggle losing weight but i tried this and lost 7 pounds in just over a week! (on the first phase mind, it's mostly water but seeing it come off does give you a boost!) google it, or my mum bought the book and i've just followed it from that :)
