Sorry to be impatient but I'm rather excited by the prospect of organic milk delivered in glass bottles :rotfl:0 -
It was £4.18 for 2 weeks I have 4 bottles per week. So I think that's £52p per pint.[size=-2]Remember its nice to be nice and its good to share!

Oh someone said that the cartons may be plasticised... they are actually waxed cartonsand they can be recycled by sending to a freepost address as local authorities still don't have facilities for this.

If the address for recycling the TetraPaks is a company based in Fife, I think they may have closed down[size=-2]Remember its nice to be nice and its good to share!

Have finally decided to go for milk in glass bottles. It's going to cost 65p a pint which is a lot especially as we get through 20 bottles a week! We have stopped having a daily paper to balance out some of the cost. After wataching the program on plastic going to China to be recycled I decided I had to do something. Good thing is the kids are excited about this and understand why we are doing it too.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

hurray - i asked for this from my local milkman 2 years ago (they supplied rachel's in card boxes) and no response from the dairy, so decided to change from milkman to supermarket.
now i can change back with a clear conciense.
: )
thanks for the postings!!What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
for those of you saying your milk goes off etc - you can freeze all milk except skimmed if that's any help - perhaps not great in a glass milk bottle but we freeze both Rachels cartons and the plastic ones.0

First 6 pints arrived on the doorstep today, very exciting - guess what colour the foil tops are? I can remember the red/silver and gold from childhood. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

I've been having organic milk delivered by our Dairy Crest milkman for a few years and was overjoyed when they switched to glass bottle just before Christmas! :j
Milk seems to taste so much better from a bottle.Mortgage Free as of 03/07/2017 :beer:0
