Gas & Leccy help! What to do now???
What's going on? I was planning to do some research into the best tariff for me this weekend, but I'm hearing that the cheaper options are being removed, some even being removed tomorrow?? http://www.energyhelpline.com/xhl/news.aspx?tiid=820&p=1
Anyway, I need to be able to afford the extra cost to my Sky subscription and need to save elsewhere to do that.. I wouldn't mind someone's help in deciding what / when to move. Should I do it tonight or what??

I would get whoever uses the most electricity in the house, usually the iron and washing machine and tumble dryer user, to look for the best deal or get them to pay for the electricity from either their earnings or housekeeping.
Why should you be deprived of your Sky?
In fact do not use the iron and washing machine and tumble dryer and you could save some money that way.0 -
Hang on we have a whip around for you, poor you you must have sky0

wow get your priorities right, sky first, food next, roof, bills, clothes and I almost forgot mobile must be high on list too up there amongst sky0

C'mon guys, I was only trying to make a bit of light banter to a serious subject :rotfl:
I don't have Sky (cancelled 8 months ago to save money!)
Seriously though, what does this mean? I thought I was getting my head in the right place with all the available deals on offer, then a few of them are removed.
What drives these companies to do this? Surely it would make better sense just to keep the same deals on offer for longer - make it simpler for me to understand!

The motto of this is... if you see a good deal... go for it. I got onto a fixed price deal with Scottish Power a couple of years ago, I was 2 days before they withdrew it from sale. And I switched to a different tariff with EDF when I moved in here, that tariff got taken off 2 or so weeks later.
It's all based on their predictions of future prices on the supply market. When it looks like prices will be going up, all the good deals get withdrawn....Indecision is the key to flexibility

I take it that's where we are just now then? Are prices on the way up again? I remember the last time this happened, all good offers were removed and the next thing....20-odd percent increases!
Not again
