No doubt the company feel it reflects on them positively that they care enough to have someone check this forum.
IMO it reflects negatively. The customer shouldnt have to come to MSE before their issues are taken seriously...............they should be given the same treatment regardless whether they post on here or not.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Engineer has called. Her saw the banding on the TV himself but wasn't aware of the issue. Fortunately I had printed snippets of the banding issue from various websites. It was very interesting to hear that a Panasonic rep he used to know would often give information about faults with products etc but said that Panasonic would always deny they existed!!! Anyway the engineer is going back to his manager now and will advise in a day or so. I did make it perfectly clear that I am not prepared to have a repair.0

Unfortunately large companies will not get it right with every person so as this is probably the largest consumer led website I feel they are doing the right thing being the last net of redemption for their company. The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

As above, they if they feel fit can repair it without leaving serious inconveniance. The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
