To my understanding there is late and missed? For instance my hubby was a day late in getting his payment to Aqua, now they did charge him £12:o but it was never marked on his credit file as a missed payment.0

I don't think you should worry.
Faster payments normally get sent within 2 hours or at least the next working day the payment should be recieved.
Use this as a learning experience and PLEASE set up a DD for the minimum payment and overpay as you normally do.
