Right i have managed to get my NAS enclosure and hard drive but im struglling to set it up.
I have plugged it all in and formated it using the web interface but how do i share the whole hard drive on my home network?
I have read through the manual but no luck, http://www.digimate.co.uk/download/ES038%20User%20Manual.pdf
Do i have to ammend the SMP or FTP SERVER settings?

setup a smb share, turn off dhcp on the nas, set a manual ip, then map a drive to it in windows
also check for firmware updates.!!

Any folders you create are automatically available, although who they are available to will be dependant on the security settings you apply.
If you want everybody to have access to a given folder, simply make that folder public in the configuration page of the NAS enclosure.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -
think there is a 2gb max file size limit to smb, so be careful if you have iso etc.0

Thanks guys, all seems working now.
I have mapped it on my pc which is windows 7 and also on my laptop which is xp.
The only problem is on the laptop, there is no option to save the password, meaning i have to logon everytime the laptop is restarted.
Is there anyway to fix this?0 -
