How long to wait for Medical?

Hi
I've been to this site 100's of times, but have plucked up the courage to register today, so as to ask a question. I am claiming Incapacity benefit due to a thyroid problem - but I won't bore you! At Christmas time I was hit by a vehical, and luckily ended up with just a broken leg and a few scratches. I was due to have a medical with ATOS while in hospital, but ended up having it a few days later. At the medical the Doctor said that he would 'sign me off' for 6 months as by then my leg should have healed. ( didn't mention any of the other problem) My 6 months are up, and I was wondering ... do they contact me immediatley, do I contact them , basically how long before they get in touch?
Many thanks already.

They will contact you sometime after the date you were due to be reviewed, you do not need to contact them.0 -
Thank you Healy.
I only ask, because at my medical I felt totally uncomforatable and even felt like I was a fraud wasting the doctors time, so much so that I don't want to go through it again. I 'm up at night worrying about it and wait for the postman every morning. I know I sound like a neurotic, but honestly I've never been through anything like that before. I think I'm secretly hoping that I won't hear from them for a few months- although common sense says 'get it over with'.
thanks again0
