  • Ebay, emailing companies to ask, daily newspapers, vouchers in free magazines (Asda etc), promotional tours of supermarkets (McVities etc) and tips from other MSErs who have found a good place.

I had an enormous pile of the Nice & Easy Vouchers (scanned at Asda and Sainsburys for £2.15 each). Sadly they have expired now, but I saved hundreds of pounds on them.

I use the vouchers in the free Asda mag at Asda and on average get 50% off (depends on cashier).

I bought some book vouchers for about 5p each from Ebay, used about 500 of those in the last few months, so that is £500 saving. Accepted in most places, but not Waitrose.

I went through literally hundreds of the Tesco money off cosmetics / clothes over the last couple of months. You need to read the threads on here about how to use them best and you can get most products for literally pence, plus loads of points.

The ones that are difficult to come by are the manufacturers vouchers which are accepted pretty much anywhere. You really need to keep your eyes out for these (the Times last Thu / Fri gave a return of £2.60 each or a 60p spend but only valid for a couple of weeks).

If you are serious about it, you tend to get obsessed, learn where each shop will take what and maximise them!

Good luck, it's enormous fun and a great buzz!
  • forgive me if this is a really stupid question to you experienced coupon collecters: but do you folks actually buy the product?
  • No we don't always buy the product because if Tescos etc stock the item then they can be reimbursed for the cost of the coupon. This is where the fun and savings can be made because the money comes off your shopping bill. Good Luck and there is never a stupid question as such, just one that needs answering.

  • Hiya djl  just keeping reading these threads, check out the newspaper thread on a daily basis and you will soon save loads. My family shop yesterday was £92 reduced to £67 by using money off vouchers and buying bogofs. Also gained nearly 600 points using point vouchers which is £24 to spend at MFI.

To get such a good discount on my shopping I used several of the Times voucher which was in Thursdays/Fridays paper and at £2.60 a time, the savings soon added up.

Good luck and happy shopping - Welshy x

  • oh yes forgot to add yes if I had a £1.00 voucher and used it against my shopping yes it would be as good as cash, but don't forget voucher usage is a BONUS not an automatic right and policies vary from cashier to cashier and store policy too.

The Somerfield mag is always good for lots of vouchers, usually at £1 each. Last month there were even some £5 and £3 ones :j
