I live on an estate of flats in which the freehold is run by a company owned equally by each leasehold owner. We have covenants banning running businesses, parking commercial vehicles & hanging out washing.

We chose not to enforce the washing covenant, treat commercial vehicles as cars and asked that anyone who was planning on running a business to not openly advertise the fact.
