Morning everyone:D
It is quite dull here this morning, but not cold
Today I will
check online banking
make some gf pastry to make snacks for ds for weekend
collect gf bread for ds; this saves me a fortune at £2.49 for a 400g one in Mr T or Mr S, used to get the mixes they came up like housebricks, revolting.
Ds off to friends in Newark for the night
Will do battle with sofa covers that have been washed and put those back on, and hang curtains in dd's bedroom
Post letters, start work plan need desperately to get back in the swing of things.
Tweak budget and look at cc's and overdrafts, spreadsheets here I come:eek:
Have a great Friday
My finances are work in progress.Normal veiwing will resume shortly0 -

Haven't been here for a few days, been rather glum and not got much done at all! Feeling a bit overwhelmed still... but it really does help to post here, so wading back in :j Here's the list for today:
* tidy kitchen
* washing on and hung up
* next bathroom DIY job (it's getting there, honestly!)
* water garden
* plant beans out
* stuff into bin bags
* phd section
* transcribing work
* organise voluntary work meeting
* add people to email list
* make and post nephew's birthday card
* meet old boss for cup of tea
* surveys
Not much MSE stuff on there... but if I get through it I'll be pleased! :j

Afternoon all!
Been on a training day with my new school today - quite enjoyed it, good fun!
Today's list...- Walked dog twice for free exercise - 1 more to go
- Had nice free buffet lunch
- Done a survey
- Check banks
- All food from stores
- Stay in tonight - have bought a bottle of wine on offer to reward myself for surviving a difficult week
- Do shopping list for tomorrow
- Got bargain 3 fancy soaps from Wild Olive through the post today (just had to pay postage)
- Booked the lastminute.com spa day for £10 (see grabbit board) for OH and I in a hotel in Manchester - bargain - we can go in to town on the tram, spend the day (including a treatment in the spa), then go for a nice meal with a voucher no doubt!

:rotfl:Sorry to hear about the broken foot Miss P (ouch!), and that Cheery isn't, well, cheery
Hope all is better soon
Today I have / will:
HC on line to dry - it rained overnight / this morning, but dry since
Taken doglets to vets for booster jabs - DEFINITELY NOT MS :eek: but had to be done, and at least OH was around to help (we are both on hols this week
) so I didn't have to deal with the whole box of crocodiles myself this time (we normally start fights with other animals in the waiting room, wee on the floor, try to bite the vet, bark and growl :eek:) If they weren't pocket sized, they would be classed as dangerous dogs - at least at the vets :rotfl:
Picked up prescription - ouch at charges - not sure how much an item it is now, but my 3 inhalers cost nearly £15 - though not sure if they are all classed as separate items? :eek: I will have to look into prepayment thingies, and work out if that would be more cost effective - not sure though, as although I use them all the time, they last for ages, so not sure if it would be an advantage.
BUT: got bargain face cream at Boots
I was sent a voucher for 500 extra points for buying a specific brand. I had a look, because sometimes these offers involve buying v. expensive products and you would be better off missing the points and buying a cheaper brand
However, the price of one of the listed products was reduced from £10.79 to £5.79 - £5 0ff! So, I bought that, and got the 500 extra points :T Boots points are worth 1p each, so that was another £5 saved (at least in advance). That means that, once I spend the extra points, which I regularly do, I will have got posh face cream for 79p :j:T Watch out for this offer, as I am sure I wasn't the only person to have been sent these vouchers
:j
NB there was also a double points voucher that I used - which can be used twice :j
Apart from that:
Checked online banking
Seen to plants and animals - watering still to do
HM meals from stores, except I did buy a lovely sundried tomato loaf for lunch from nice bakers in the town we visited today - there is still more than half left for tomorrow though
Picked some tomatoes and another cucumber
Some nice little bits from CS in town we visited, and not much spent
Haven't done any more to tax self assessment forms :eek: Some tax certificates arrived this morning though from savings account providers (HMRC won't get very fat on that :rotfl: ) Brother is up for the weekend, so can help with mine, which is a bit complicated :eek:
Better get on with bits still left to do. Have a nice evening :j0
