Tonight were having salad (thanks MIL) and quiches with strawberries for afters (thanks MIL). She has a massive strawberry patch, so no doubt we'll be getting loads of them. The raspberries look like they starting to ripe in the patch of mud out the front so i'm very happy about that.

Not a great start to day
Now let me explain I do not go to town often especially on my own as take panic attacks, have trouble walking if cannot get parked close to where I need and generally wait to hubby can go with me Decided to go this morning.
So found parking space no problem :j So off I pop to chemist to pick up months tablets , they do them daily for me and I have 2 days left so knew they where due. Then I got " oh you are supposed to pick them up on monday, I do not think I have ever picked them up on a monday, friday or saturday always as if I am not able to go hubby does it. I told her I only had 2 days left so knew they where due if they where due on monday would have been monday past so actually I was late as usually get them when onto my last weeks packet. So ended up agreeing a date to get them next time if I cannot manage it I have said I will go abck to managing my own tablets again , So was a bit flustered when came out of chemist.
Then I popped into a local supermarket as only needed 3 things and did not want to go to asda as would have ended up buying to much, so shop packed and 3 checkouts open. Went to express and they have no scales to weigh fruit and veg so you need to do it on machine that prints label , of cours the 3 people in front of me had all stuff that needed weighed and had to leave express checkout to go do it , when I eventurally got to top of queue I sat down my 3 items to be told " the other side of the till" not even a please !!!! Now I remember why I do not usually use this shop.
So into the car to come back home and realsied I had not went to cash machine, well I was not going back again lol So looks liek me trying to save hubby a trip to town did not work, he needs to go to cash machine.
Now " calming down " lol and the moral of this story is , make sure I am well enough to go to town the day I have to collect my tablets and even if only need one thing I will be going to asda self service checkouts lolTOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -
Hi everyone:hello:
I have been away from the boards for about a year due to post grad study taking over my life. Well I am now finished and I can proudly call myself a Teacher:j
I have been lurking and dipping in an out of the various boards and wanted to come back into the fold. It's nice to see some of the peeps are still here like N9eav, Redruby, JackieO and all the gang holding down the Old Style Fort.
Hope you have all had a lovely week. The sun is shining here in the Kingdom of Fife and I have managed to get 2 loads onto the line and they are nearly dry. Cleaned out all my kitchen cupboards this morning and reorganised the larder. BF's new garden shed (bought in sale through quidco) has just arrived so that is stored in garage ready for him to build when he returns from the high seas.
Just pottering about the house for rest of day with Wimbledon on in the background. Come on ANDY MURRAY!!
Have a great day all:A
p.s I had to give away the Soap Nuts that I bought a while ago. They just didn't work for me..ah well..Spreading the gospel that is Martin Lewis to the future generation....I'm a Home Economics Teacher and being thrifty is the way!:A0 -

Hi Chums ,sory to hear all the sad news today It somehow seems worse when the sun is shining IYKWIM.
I have just got in from History class where we had a great time discussing Pompeii .Our tutor is so good and we learn such a lot from her.I popped into the garden for about two minutes but as its 91F out there I soon came back indoors again.
I just checked my emails and have one from my lovely therapist Mark who does my lymphodema massage I have had to pay for it at £40.00 an hour for the past year so I have been a bit restricted as to how many hours I can have and he has just told me that he has managed to get me some funding for the MLD from our local PCT trust and they will pay for it.Brilliant news to me as it means that my arm will hopefully become more mobile and it will bring down the swelling .He is such a great chap and has been fighting my corner for me as he says its not my fault that I have this rotten after effect from the cancer.I am absolutely chuffed to bits at the moment as I am hoping to be able to get a nice dress for Christmas that I will be able to get on as at the moment everything has to be sleeveless because of the size of my right arm (think elephants trunk:):)) Its so daft as by not having the treatment its actually cost the NHS more in hospital visits ect.if I lived 6 miles down the road I would have had this over a year ago without any problem Blooming post code lottery again, still all is looking good so there is one happy (if hot) old dear in north Kent at the moment.
Hope you all have a good week-end and the sun shines on you all,but not quite as hot as it is at the moment
Cheers chums

JackieO that's really good news!
N9eav - what a terrible shock for your poor Mum, and indeed for all of you as a family.
((HUGS)) to Lowesy too.
Well, it was the last session of my course until September, so we all brought a shared lunch. This year has gone by so quickly - we were all strangers last September, but now, a group of friends.
Back home to carry on transferring stuff back into the kitchen - but it's so warm I'm only doing 15 minutes at a time and then having a break. Don't really mind how long it takes, it's all on the home stretch now.
Salad for supper, then choir practice.
Hope you've all had a reasonable day. Take care!Resolution:

Afternoon.
Been at school with DS all day - they were having a Mini Beast day aka The Ugly Bug Ball. 31 hyper kids  but it's been great fun and DS coped pretty well with the change (although I dread to think how he'd have been if hadn't - but that's besides the point). He's cream crackered and I am ready for a beer
So naff all OS going on apart from one load of washing (does that REALLY count) and prepping tea for H and me for SC - sausage and lentil hot pot. Not what I really fancy in this heat but if I don't cook H just ends up eating oven chips all the time so need to make the effort for his sake if no one elses
lowesy - glad to see you posting but not glad to see what awful news you've had. I would definately write off 2010 and hope that 2011 is going to be better for you and your family xx
n9eav - my condolences on the loss of your Uncle. Never rains but it's poursxx
Hugs to those that are MIA or just in need. Enjoy your Friday nightI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0
