- This wizard may be in English only. However, the automatic fix also works for other language versions of Windows.
- If you are not on the computer that has the problem, you can save the automatic fix to a flash drive or to a CD, and then you can run it on the computer that has the problem.

Hi-tech criminals are "escalating" attacks on an unpatched bug in the Windows XP help and support system.
Microsoft said it had seen more than 10,000 machines hit by the attack that, so far, it has not found a fix for.
Windows PCs falling victim will have control of that machine handed over to attackers.
Microsoft said the attacks had gone from theoretical to real very quickly and urged users to take steps to protect themselves.
'Nightmare' attack
Microsoft revealed the upturn in attacks in a blog post saying that it had been monitoring activity around the loophole since it was first revealed on 10 June.Ex forum ambassador

Curiously that's exactly what I don't like about it - because if it should go wrong, how would you ever know what it has done, without quite a lot of investigation? (If nothing ever went wrong on operating systems, there would be no need for update fixes to fix the things that went wrong! And how many times are fixes pulled and reworked?)I like the tool , idiot proof !!!!! turn if off/turn it on0 -
If you don't trust tool
Windows XP users can disable help centre protocol manually. Click the Start menu, followed by Run. Type regedit and press ok. Highlight the HCP key after expanding the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT folder. Then right click on the HCP key and select Delete.(Techworld)0 -
The Microsoft Security Advisory is three weeks old and there is still no patch available? If it's not ready at the next patch day will the security hole be open for another month? Unbelievable...0
