Hi
I am just looking for some advice reference money.
Me and my husband are looking at studying at uni next year and have a 1 year old boy. Does anyone know how much help and support is available? we just don't want to risk our child not having everything that he needs! Would the council help with rent and council tax?
many thanks

Look on here for a quick guide and search student finance. it varies depending on what you're studying (for EG nurses and social workers get bursarys (as do some other courses). As for your son going without, well there's no reason he should if you budget.
Some students are entitled to HB, it really does depend on your circumstances, however, it doesn't harm to put in a claim, if it helps I get a little, so students do get it. All students are exempt from council tax and you will get 85% of your childcare paid

Full-time students are exempt from council tax. If one of you is a student, then the 25% single person discount applies.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
