Advice on a loan

My friend has recently split up with his girlfriend was due to get married etc. Anyway she had about £5k in debt so to lower amount she was paying he got a loan in his name as she was unable to which she paid until recently a couple of months after they split up. She said she would continue paying it but has started been a bit funny about it.

Just wondering where he stands as he can prove he gave her the money and has bank statements to prove it. I know he is legally liable for the debt as I work in debt advice but require advice on what he can do legally for example can he pursue her through the County Court with a CCJ etc?

Also I have suggested when he speaks to her and can get her to come on board that he draws up an agreement/contract if she starts messing about again and not paying. What are your thoughts/suggestions for drawing up this type of document?

Any advice welcome

If he has nothing in writing and cannot convince her to sign such a document, he has no real proof of anything.

That's about the long and the short of it I'm afraid.

    Sorry.
