Having to retake final term again?

My daughter started to study an online degree 2 years ago which was a 2 year course but she had to retake the final term this year again after not getting enough marks last year. She got her results today and still has not got enough marks to pass and can re-take in August to try to pass. However when she asked her tutor last term for help he was very dismissive and he seems to have a problem with her ( although I realise it may her who has a problem) I dont know if she should just give up now as she is not very academic and I think only really took the degree to keep up with her brother and 3 cousins who all have degrees. When she started her degree she was diagnosed as dyslexic and does struggle at times.
Question is firstly could she ask for a new tutor and secondly should I just encourage her to give up now and just leave the course. Luckily it is classed as a part time degree so she received a grant instead of a loan so she is not up to her eyes in debt and the re-take would not cost.

She might not be very academic, and it might not come easily to her, but it doesn't mean she should quit after working at it for 2 years.
She did a re-take last year and passed, so why do you think she won't this time?
I'd never encourage a child of mine to quit just because something was difficult."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0 -

I am not sure I made myself clear. She failed the final term last summer, re-took it twice and failed twice ( once for not getting it in in time), then retook the term again this summer and still did not pass and has to re-take again in August. The main reason she failed last year was she got in with a new crowd of friends and took her eye off the ball. I dont want to encourage her to quit but I dont know how much more failure she can take. She has severe esteem issues and has had aneroxia in the past. She is 24 so not a child so maybe she needs to make her own decisions and I need to stand back and let her decide. Maybe I give her too much help0 -
I'm pretty surprised she has been allowed to re-take the final year at all. As far as I know most places don't.
I think you hit it on the head in your final few sentences of your last post. She is an adult and needs to make her own decisions.0 -
It was just the final term and I think it is because it is an online degree. Still I think you are right I need to let her decide. She is away in London today visiting her brother ( who has just been made redundant from his journalism job 3 years after graduating) so we can have a good chat tommorow when she comes back.0
