Npower Go Fix 2

Just been shopping around for a Gas & Ele switch as my current deal with Scottish Power has come to an end.

The titled tariff keeps popping up on a few comparison sites as cheapest, but thischeap price only appears to be the case including a £100 discount that gets applied in a year's time.

Does anyone have experience of such tariffs ?

My worry being, you sign up for it...... pays your monthly payments and then have issues getting a discount applied....?

You are correct that the comparison sites include the £105 discount when working out the savings. However Npower will not take it into account when working out your DD payments. So you are paying more each month and getting it back after 12 months.
That is slightly incorrect because it is credited to your account after 12 months but Npower normally bill 6 monthly so you may not see it on a bill until up to 18 months.
I do not think there are any problems with npower applying the discount.

So if I were to change suppliers after 13 months, I'd still get the discount after 12 months, even though it hadn't appeared on any bill by that point?

Yes, you are entitled to it.

Note that Npower have started to say that the first year instalments do include this discount in the estimated amount - so you may want to look more closely at your bills (and your useage) to check whether or not this is so.
