In the first instance I would tell your employer who should be able to amend the P11D for the tax year ending April 2010. You could ask them what they suggest about previous years but I would probably send a letter to HMRC yourself anyway. I would have thought any contribution made should reduce your tax liability but you never know with the tax man !! Good Luck

Do they include the fuel card as a benefit in kind on your P11d? I don't know the fully understand the rules but it appears they shouldn't because you don't benefit from it. I'm assuming the 11p per mile is for the fuel used on private mileage.

I could be wrong and you should check with your employer but I think that box is if you pay anything towards the car and not the mileage.

You will be incur the Car Benefit Charge regardles as you are probably aware, however if you are paying your private mileage at the rate (11ppm) then I don't believe you have any personal gain and so shouldn't pay the Car Fuel Benefit Charge.

Check carefully that you havent confused the Car Benefit Charge and the Car Fuel Benefit Charge. Have they actually for an amount in the CFBC column which if I remember correctly is just below? Because if thats solely for business assuming you havent personnally benefitted that box (in my understanding) shouldn't be completed.
