I have an on-line account (and tarriff) which requires me to submit on-line readings for my gas and electricity every 3 months.

I actually do it every 4 weeks (next due tomorrow), and I find this has made them much more amenable when I want to discuss reducing my Direct Debit due to them having a very accurate picture of my useage trends.

I'm with one that's good on customer service and when I phoned the independant folk about changing they said not to because like the customer service is so good and I don't think I could put in monthly meter readings when ill...

I checked my last bill and phoned them and yes it is down by £20 to estimate and I pay that extra £20 just in case so I do think whilst I'm in no rush to change it's a good idea to keep an eye on it for the budget's sake..

Argh I get you all now about the e-book reader. Of course me, I can justify anything near enough and I've already had some whacky (but cheaper) unwell whoopsie spends this year that have just met freecycle (you know me I buy three of everything before I finally decide ) so yeah...that's how I potentially view it......I won't give you the reasoning (maybe I will...the size of my library that I can sell and get cheap or free online) but anyhow...I appreciate and value being accountable on here so I'm glad I said it and I'm glad you all reproved me....
    THANKYOU

So yeah that's me needing to make bread this pm and having done 1/2 hour's worth of ironing and gotten left over caulliflower cheese and salad for tea tonight :)...Might be houmous for a few days for sandwich filla if I can't get down to Mr A..

Blessings and thanks and one final congrats thingimig

If anyone wants it this is the site I used when I started learning to knit socks. I can make them from memory now http://www.cometosilver.com/socks/SockClass_Start.htm
I love to be able to make usefull things!!
I know people think I am weird but I really am convinced "something" big is coming that will effect our current way of living worldwide. A massive world change type thing. In my mind learning essential/usefull skills now will be something that will really help later if we are once more reduced to trading ect for survival. Lol feel free to laugh away at me.

Fishcake, I'm using that tutorial too, am on my first ever sock and by golly it's going slowly! I have just managed to turn the heel, feeling very pleased with myself. :j

There are a lot of people on the "It's tough how are we coping" thread saying the same as you, feeling something big is going to happen.

Erme, your tea sounds yummy, I haven't had cauliflower cheese in ages. Have you thought about getting out the socks your started - be a nice thing to do on cold winter evenings and tutorial really does help, plus the folks on The Knitting Thread are very helpful.

    Hugs,

Cheryl, meant to ask how things are with OH? I know you were both so busy with different things you hadn't seen each other in a good while. Hope all's ok one way or another. x
He got home from his hols 16 days ago - having said 2 days before going (when I called him to wish him a safe journey and good holiday) that he'd call me on his return - and I haven't heard a peep. Not even a comment on my Facebook page about my race results yesterday......

Think that just about sums it up :o

Aww, hope you're ok Cheryl. Well you have been going from strength to strength - sounds like you are in the best shape of your life and I'll bet you get plenty of positive male attention. Wonder if he's feeling threatened or insecure ... not your problem though!!!!

SF, hugs to you honey, is it work stuff or life in general? xxx

His words (long before I told him I'd started running) were that he "likes a woman with a bit of meat, and not skinny bints" - and I could tell he was pulling back as the weight started to noticeably drop off.

He made a comment about it a couple of times, but seemed to accept I was doing it for health reasons (bad back and high cholesterol).

I guess he decided he didn't like it anyway..... but I just wish he'd had the guts to tell me, even though I don't intend to regain the weight just to suit someone else ;)

Wasn't looking for a relationship back in March, and I don't intend to now either. Don't notice male attention, but I'm not looking for it - so not sure if I just miss seeing it :D

I'd rather be told where I stand properly too, much as it might gall me to hear it. If you're a healthy weight then that's something to celebrate regardless what others think. Good for you! :T
