, DWP have just published information about reassessment proess . It does say DLA is not part of THIS process . As well as being a limbolander i work for a government body and get bombarded with these on a daily basis and thought i could make sure as many people who are affected by these things get to hear about them as they arise particulry if you have chance to have your say as many folk dont hear about it till if affects them . If it isnt useful or appropraite please tell me and i wont post them. If folk are interested again let me know and i will stick things on the boards as they come through

Incapacity benefits – reassessing claims
From October 2010 Jobcentre Plus will start reassessing the claims of people who are receiving Incapacity Benefit, Income Support paid on the grounds of disability and Severe Disablement Allowance to see if they are fit for work.
People who are capable of work will move onto Jobseeker’s Allowance where they satisfy the conditions of entitlement for that benefit.
People who need more support while they prepare for work will get that help on Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).
Those people who are most disabled or terminally ill will not be expected to look for work and will get the extra support they need on ESA.
We will trial these new processes with 1,700 customers in and around Aberdeen and Burnley from October 2010. We will then start to reassess people nationally from February 2011. This process will take place over the following three years.
The change will not affect:
claims for Attendance Allowance
people who are already being paid Employment and Support Allowance
people who reach State Pension age before March 2014.
We are not reassessing claims to Disability Living Allowance (DLA) as part of this process.

That is really interesting.
I get Incapacity Benefit and DLA Higher rate care and higher rate mobilty.
To be honest, I was expecting people in my situation to be assessed first as I have a car on the Motability Scheme and get maximum for my care needs.
Thanks for sharing this.NSK Zombie # SFD 7/15 Food Bank £0/£5
Food £73.57/£122 (incl. pet food) Petrol £20/£40
Exercise 2/15 Outings 1/2

Thanks for sharing. Seems to tie-in with the Gov saying from April next year all those on IB would be examined to check eligibility. Imagine the ESA switch-over will combine with this.0
