Looking for video dj or DVD file splicing software

I have bought a couple of kiddie pop dvds to play at my daughters birthday party for pass the parcel etc.
Ideally I want the music to play continually by having the tracks fade in to each other rather than having gaps between tracks.
Can anyone suggest any software that would let me 'dj' the tracks in to each other or better still allow me to merge the (ripped) files in to one long file with no gaps between the songs?
Thanks
