MacBook Pro - Home Insurance Claim

I need some advice!
I've accidently knocked my MacBook Pro Unibody (Late 2008) off my sofa.
It's cosmetically damaged, on the screen and internally the disc loader no longer works.
I've got home insurance including accidental damage with Halifax.
My questions are -
Will I have to pay the excess?
Will I need to send it off?
Will they pay for it to be repaired or would I get a replacement?
Do I need to provide them with the receipt, I'm not sure if I've still got it!
I've never claimed on insurance before so I'm not 100% sure what to do!
Any help or advice would be great

Will I have to pay the excess? Yes normaly , see policy document
Will I need to send it off? Yes they will get in inspected to confirm how it happened.
Will they pay for it to be repaired or would I get a replacement? If they can repair for reasonable costs, they will if not they will replace.
Do I need to provide them with the receipt, I'm not sure if I've still got it! They may request if not that you provide the box0
