HI I am an HND student and I have jsut turned 18 and i wish to open a student account with the bank of scotland. I went up to the bank today with my college acceptance letter and my passport and student card and i was refused a student account because I never had a letter from the department of working pensions and when i asked about that the lady said i had to have a P60 or a letter about taxes but i have never wotrked before so i asked if there was anything else i could bring and she said a provisional driving licence but i cant afford the licence. I was wodnering if there is a way of getting a P60 without having actualy worked before? also i went to RBS aswell and they couldnt give me one because I only have one year left of college.
thanks folks
