Unpaid SO & DD, how to pay them now?

I so stupidly forgot to transfer my bills money over last night and now three bills, two DD's and one SO have been returned unpaid. How do I go about paying these now?

Will the bank make the payments now there is money in my account? Or do I have to ring the companies/send the payments again?

I'm a bit worried that if I do that, the bank might send them again and then it'd be an even bigger mess. :o

I'm with Barclays btw. Think i'll pop in when I go to town and ask to open another account just for bills, stop this happening again.

Thanks :)

    For the standing orders;

    Contact the bank, they have the account number and sortcode on the s/o and can send a faster payment to who you owe the funds to.

    For direct debits;

    You need to contact the individual companies to ask them how to settle. Some allow you to do so by alternative means, others will try the direct debit again at a later date. It is up to that company.
    Best Regards
