Anyone got a free number for Halifax bank?

Need to ring about the mortgage and my bank account. I've phoned twice and been left on hold for over fifteen minutes! If anyone has an 0800 number I'll buy you a pint...one day. Thanks

Thanks, can't get any 0800 numbers on there though, not for bank accounts anyway. Plenty for automated insurance numbers though! I used to have one but can't find it anywhere

it used to go through to normal telephone banking but now goes through direct to new accounts - sometimes they will transfer you to the right dept. sometimes they tell you to phone the 0845 number

Brilliant, they phone back within seconds and they didn't ask me to call anyone else. It's as if the operator thinks you have called them! Cheers
