ooh a big TC payment, even if an error :j Why don't you bung it in a Cash ISA until they ask for it back? The interest is free money :j
Afternoon All
I've had a lovely day at the organic market. I've now got lots of ideas as to what I can knit as pressies :rotfl: Bit over priced, but good for inspiration.
And now I'm back I've booked flights for DS and DiL for their honeymoon next year
It's our present to them, and I've taken DAYS getting the best price with a mixture of air-miles and money :rotfl:
Also applied for a 0% card in order to pay for zillions of extras this month as a way of easing cashflow. ( a lot of flights to be paid for as we're going back for the wedding, shares, and an architects bill now due) It'll be a debt
but a cheap debt :money: at only 3%
Now I shall do my 20 mins on the cross trainer - thanks for the reminder littlekel
cook supper from the meal plan
carry on knitting the next Christmas pressie (actually the same one for some time now :rotfl: such fine wool for this shrug!)
Have a great rest-of-the-day :A0 -
today I have/ will do:
*more careful driving
*bought xbox live subscription for £32 from Amazon rather than automatically renew for £40 (boyfriend's birthday pressie)
*checked online banking
*go to shops and dance class in one driving journey
*drink soft drinks when going out
*let friend pay for tea as I always give her lifts (she offered)0 -

My list for today....- Go to new job induction
- All food from stores
- Go to parents evening tonight
- Walk dog for free exercise
- All food from stores
- Have a LSD
- Stay in and catch up on telly
- Phone mum with free landline
- Check banks
- Do any surveys that come

Today I have
- Store cupboard breakfast and tea - lunch and drinks out been out and about for work.
- Paid a bit of the loan off.
- Pennies in the jar.
- Packing for Hen weekend starting tomorrow.0 -
Today I have / will:
Still on hols - feeling really lazy, and not looking forward to going back to work  I love being at home - most of my friends are 'retired' (if they ever worked at all) and I do envy them a bit sometimes - but I know I would be bored after a couple of weeks
HC on line to dry
Checked online banking - cheque cleared from auction house for the sale of some unwanted furniture - £95, and it was only clogging up the garage :j Moved it to savings :T
Made a little bit of progress on tax self assessment thingies - need help from brother who is coming for the weekend with mine though, as it is complicated. For OH's, I am just waiting for tax certs for savings accounts, then I can finish it :T
Will both have a tax bill (though not very big, as not very much money involved, and we both have PAYE jobs) but will be so relieved to get it out of the way for another year, and look forward to a time when we can live in our house and not have to do it any more :T. We currently live in a house provided by OH's job, which he is contracted to live in, so rented ours out, as we didn't want to leave it empty
I guess some people would think we are lucky, but I have had a lifetime of living in tied houses and bringing up kids with no security, and have worked SO hard for so many years to buy our house. It is annoying, cos we could easily afford to live in it  Our debts are paid off now thank goodness , apart from the mortgage (my current project), and we are very careful
Got some bits from market / charity shops in nearby town
Sorted out some bits for a car boot sale (hopefully on Sunday if it is dry). Shabby chic type things, priced reasonably (mostly around £1, some a bit more, some considerably less) cos I want to get rid - nice things, but I have too many, and it would be nice if somebody else got some pleasure from them - for not much money. And I feel better as less clutter :T
HM meals from stores and garden - did buy some sausages from the butchers in town though - will have them with home grown veg and HM chutney.
Can't think of anything else. Have a nice evening everyone :wave:0 -
