Megabus Refund

Hi
I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on where I can go next on claiming a refund from megabus?
To let you in on what happened I booked three return journeys from Manchester to London some time ago for myself and I coupple of friends. It was due to leave on the 19th August at 9am. We got there for 8:30am in plenty of time. There was a megabus there but it said it was going to Aberdeen so we didn't get on or enquire as Aberdeen is going in the completely wrong dircection to London.
9am came and went and this megabus had left. It turned out this megabus was actually going to London! We had missed it.
We had to get to London for the time the coach was due to be in London so we had no choice but get the train instead costing us a further £56 each!
I've wrote a letter to megabus asking them to refund the payment of the coach tickets to London and also the additional cost on the train which was the cheapest fare to get to London that day.
I've not received a letter from Megabus yet but I have received an email confirming they have refunded the coach travel down to London but there was no mention of the train fares.
So is that it? Can I not claim the train fares back? What other options have I got to get this back and is my claim reasonable?
Thanks in advance.

Although you have my every sympathy, I don't think you have a leg to stand on for train fare compensation.
The bus may have said Aberdeen and you were right to not get on it etc, but did you ask anyone at the bus station where the London bus was ? If you did, I assume they would have pointed you to the one that left and departed for London (albeit that it said Aberdeen on it).
The fact that they have given you a refund for your bus fare seems more than generous to be honest.
I may have picked up what happened wrongly from your post, but I don't think Megabus should have to refund your train fare IF you failed to ask which bus was going to London. If you did ask someone and they gave you wrong information, then that's a different matter.
