  • My delivery came yesterday & today I went out & completed my first deliveries that I received from territory, really pleased as following more advice from posts on here I text my customers, gave them a 2 hour timeslot, confirmed the total & asked them to text me back if it was inconvenient, the result?!?!?! All delivered (7 in total) correct money ready & waiting & happy customers.

One customer thanked me for the text & timeslot & another said that she is already finding me "so reliable & very well organised at all this!" and those compliments come from following all your advice re making sure you collect books when stated, informing them of delivery etc, hard work is paying off!

I had a tough start with 6 of my allocated roads already having reps, started with 3 roads done all my drops they already had a rep then 3 new roads & they also had a rep!! But after reading here that it often happens I kept at it & my new territory seems ok so far! Unfortunatly found this forum after signing up and I signed up with an asm who when you eventually get in touch with is lovely, polite & helpful but she is difficult to get in touch with ie no answers to emails & texts & calls or just takes forever to answer & she never calls or messages to see if everything is ok, all my queries were answered by reading all these posts!

    hello Ladies.

Just found this new shiny and read through

Welcome to all newbie Ladies, I do hope that you enjoy Avon as much as I do.

Been out delivering today in horrid misty rain. Despite delivery notes with time slots on them, still have loads and loads of orders to go back out as customers 'forgot' or 'didnt have time to got to ATM', Oh well! tomorrow is another day. Got 50+ books to pick up tomorrow. Got some orders in already, nearing the £100 mark.
Got my supermagnify mascaras in the post and have sold loads of the 20 I got in. Lots to reps on the team who dont get calls from the Step Team and one to a shiny new customer who just loved the way it does her lower lid eyelashes.

Just really really tired this week. been busy and late nights and early starts, roll on Saturday for a nice lie in.

Thanks Aureol for new thread. Will have to add link to Favs :)

    Morning Girls,

Delivery arriving today & also will be delivering to my customers (like to get it ALL DONE asap!). It's already hot at 7.30am so the delivering to customers will be baking. What with hot flushes to contend with I'll look decidedly on the erm.. glowing side.

Anyway just wanted to say I appreciate all the postings, it makes one feel less alone in the Avon world. Have a great day everyone.

  • Hi Aureol, the skipping rope was from Camp 10 (the Indoor/Outdoor) rope. Looking at the picture I can only imagine that she is having trouble attaching the rope to the handles. Any ideas?

Hi bargainsearcher, I had a look at the pic, as I guessed from your post it was that one. It looks like you loop the string through and then pass it over the weight, and pull it tight to make a knot against the handle.

    Does that make sense?

What I mean, is it looks like the weight has a doubled string, so the weight is at one end and the string is looped. So you would feed the looped end through by the handle, and then put the loop over the weight, and then pull the weight up, until the loop forms a knot by the handle.

I had a customer buy one when they first came out but I never took it out the packet. Just gave it to her son who wanted it.

I found you! I did spot this new thread yesterday but with one thing and another i didnt manage to read any of it lol!

Good news, i have a party booking for 14th July!

Bad news, went out and canvassed one of my 'good roads' to find a Avon book on the door step, it was only one so i'm putting it down to F&F!

Oh and more good news, one of my friends keeps ringing with new customer details for me! She does Holistic treatments and uses Avon and reccomends to her customers, she will be getting some commission!!!

I had an interesting experience yesterday!

One of my customers asked if they had discontinued 'Anew Dial a Glow' as she couldn't see it in the brochure and was running out of the one she uses every day. I looked in both the current books and couldn't find it so I rang Avon.

They gave me a code (88146 if anyone wants to try it) but when I put that online it told me I couldn't order it in either 10 or 11 :(. Rang Avon back and was told that they can order it for me even though the website won't take it and that the price is £5.

Now considering the original price was £15 that's not a bad deal. I've told my customer £10, she's happy as she gains £5, and so am I :D I've also ordered a spare to keep in stock for her to buy later - not losing out as I've made the price on the first one :p

I think the lesson from all that is that it's worth ringing Avon (at least the PC telephone line - not sure about the ordinary one though) for anything you can't find.
