Well done Lozza. It is nice to hear about positive sign ups.

I am not sure about this one, she didn't tell me until 4pm, she had an appointment at 4pm and had to be somewhere!

Could tell by the questions she was asking that Avon was not what she thought it would be! She thought we provided a list of ready customers on territory, and she would just visit them.

Oh well. If she doesn't call, will try the rest of the flats again, might find someone there who does want to be a rep.

Does anyone have an answer on how to distract a naughty 2 and half year old while doing a sign up? I took cars, drawing paper and pen... and he was ok for 5 seconds.... I just cannot afford to put him in childcare while doing sign ups. And friends are very hard to pin down to take him. no family and DH is working very long hours at the moment.

Only go to sign ups that have gardens and turn him loose outside. :D no sorry, that was helpful! Not sure, really - he really is quite mischievious! :p:D

would like to win a holiday, please!!

not feeling too good but got deliveries to do tonight and notes to drop to those im calling at tomorrow... should have started an hour ago but my printer isnt playing ball!!! An additional order arrived today i need to sort through to deliver THAT tomorrow too. And 200 books to prep to drop at the weekend.

Scanned the last thread and this so apologises to anyones messages i missed answering.

Aureol - I dont know how to keep him occupied during sign ups! I am struggling to keep 2 yr old DD entertained just collecting books!! Doesnt seem to be enough time in the day to do AVON properly and be mummy :( even just calling on my 100 regulars in a campaign is becoming a slog with her in tow.. nevermind recanvassing the 14 roads!! :(:( So know where your coming from *big hugs*

Tell me about it! I get so embarrassed! The answer is free childcare so I can have him running riot in a nursery while I do sign ups....:p

You should see his face right now! Covered in pasta sauce!

He just is so full of energy and doesn't like to be ignored while mummy works...:o

wished we lived closer, so could help each other out.

I have tantrums delivering books too. He is at that difficult age.... he was a horror in the supermarkets today as he was tired and hungry and wanted a nap. Maybe I should have cancelled the sign up and put him to bed instead, seeing as I didn't actually sign her up.

One thing I have noticed is that potential reps who don't have kids, or know kids, always say "it's ok, let him play with that..." while I am saying no, quickly change their minds....:D

aww hun. big hugs back at you too. Wish I could help you out, even if it was just prepping books. Saying that, need to let all my customers know am delivering tomorrow and need to prep their books.
  • Hi everyone. I've just had a text from a customer who says she can't work out how to use the skipping rope. This probably sounds like a joke but it's not! I assume you need to assemble it if you want the weights on the handles, but as I haven't got one at home I'm not sure. I've had a look on google but can't find anything. Does anyone have a clue what the problem might be. Presumably she know how to skip!

Hi heard about people getting phone calls from avon with offers but uptill now i havent had one. They phoned today and offered 10 of the new mascars thats in HT13 for £20 they'll be on offer in book 13 for £5 so not a bad profit and gives me the option to offer them cheaper to get more sales.

 hi all! I have a lady (not sure if ASM or SL - I contacted her through the main website if that makes a difference?) coming to sign me up on Monday, I can't wait. Been ages since I had an Avon catalogue to read through, let alone the idea of meeting my neighbours and making a few bob! Very excited! :rotfl:
