refunding payment for an ebay sale?

Hi

I recently sold an item on ebay and upon receiving payment sent the item out.

the buyer is saying he has received the item but will not fit his car, even though im pretty sure it does.

this is the second time i listed it as the first time the buyer never bothered paying so got my final value fees back... but how do i go about getting them back again?

buyer says he will post back the item and i will need to refund him first in order to get the fees credited back to me?

any info appreciated?

Thanks

Go to the resolution centre in Ebay. Click, I want to cancel a transaction, input the item number and select the user ID. Then there are several options including, the buyer wants to return for a refund.

When the buyer sends the item back, refund through the resolution centre case, your fees will be refunded.

Don't refund until you have received the item back. Then request a mutual cancellation from the buyer. You will only get your fees back if they click to agree, but it's the only option here as a UPI isn't appropriate.

No it isn't. Do as I suggested ^

With a mutual, you always run the risk of the buyer refusing. But this way, you are assured the fees back IF the buyer returns.
