Happy birthday snagglepuss!
I walked to the market (approx 1.5 miles from work) rather than go to the local tesco for fruit and veg, have got a huge bag of apples, bananas, potatoes, carrots and a butternut squash for £3.00. This would be at least £5 in Mr T's. Also, did this in my lunch break so I wasn't tempted by the pub.Saving for an early retirement!0 -
I'm going to the movies tonight but I'm using my membership card to get £3 off. I brought a packed lunch to work today to save a visit to Pret and about £3.40. And my BF and I just decided that we probably couldn't afford to go on the camping trip we were talking about. Not sure how much we've saved there, but a bit!0

Bought toothpaste, plasters, kitchen cleaner for £1 each in Poundland rather than Sainsburys. Poundland's really pretty good, isn't it?0

Cycled to work and bought a packed lunch in....yay! Cycling makes me feel on top of the world so probably helps to stop me to do any emotional spending, i.e. I've had a !!!!!! day so I will buy a cd/book etc!"Debt makes plans for you" - A quote from my friend Catherine. How true!0

So super happy there.
Flatmate bought milk and bread today, saving me a little cash, nigh on £2, since she bought the expensive bread!
