Things you're going to do today to save cash...

Today I am going to listen to rugby on the radio (HULL F.C yeha!) rather than go and see them play = £16
I am taking a lunch to work rather than eating their slop:p = 70pence
I am walking to work rather than get the bus = £1.70
I need some hair serum but instead I shall use the rest of the ermmm hmmm (whispers very quietly) lubricant that my ex-b/friend left behind. (Very similar stuff apparently) = £4.99

So thats a total of £23.39 savings for today :T

Well, I am planning a day of home cooking, maybe some baking and lots of rest and relaxation :D

Don't know how much it will save me but, it's definitely a free day ;)

I am going to my nans for lunch, and then not going anywhere to spend any money :)
Today will hopefully be another no-spend day!
    Saving for a deposit: £20,551 / £25,000 - 82% of the way there...
  • A day of home cooking for me- I spent £40 on shopping yesterday! That £40 included a £10 leg of lamb, which sounds extravagant but it will do a gorgeous roast dinner for us tonight plus the leftovers will be made into a huge pasta bake which will last the next 2 days. So a bargain really...
Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24
    currently: £13,353.25

I am taking a packed lunch (saving up to £4)

Getting husband to drop me into work on his way past (saving up to £3?) not sure what each journey works out as?

Dinner is something from the freezer (Saving up to £25 if eaten out, up to £10 if we had fastfood or up to £15 for an unnecessary mid-week shop!)

I've asked HR to pay for me to do my AAT Technician certificate (did Foundation and Intermediate years ago at college) - if they pay, free extra qualification. Fingers crossed they think my role is accounts-y enough
  • I ate my packed lunch even though friends were trying to tempt me to go out for lunch.

Mine's not exactly DFW but it's my birthday today :), and instead of going out for a meal at our favourite restaurant, we're having a take-away at home (OH was going to cook a romantic meal but we're too kn@ckered!). So we ARE spending money I'm afraid, but probably only a quarter of what we would have spent at the restaurant.
