what a load of nonsense. In my job I can drink at my desk, go for a break whenever I like, I eat my cereal breakfast at desk in the morning. Wouldnt dream of being disciplined for taking a drink of juice. What would happen next week? Investigation for taking 2 sheets of toilet paper instead of 1? Isnt this more likely to be some type of personal campaign against this worker - bullying perhaps?

But wouldn't you find it a bit odd if you walked into Tesco and found the person on the checkout sitting eating their breakfast cereal? Or visited a factory and one of the line operators was munching on a sandwich at the same time as packing sterile swabs for use in a hospital?

Different types of workplace have different rules about what and what isn't acceptable, and they are usually for very legitimate reasons.

of course in those specific examples it would be a problem. But in this case, it seems that her shift was finished and she was on her way to the staff room (no longer dealing with customers).
