Thanks, any tips on buying from a trader?

-Any preferred payment method, what documents I should expect, and what I'll need to give them?
-Should I test stuff before buying?
-Can you haggle for a better price?
-Should I expect a warranty of any kind if something goes wrong?
-Will they put any petrol for me?

Without being rude, but do you think buying a car is a good idea?

harverybobbles and harry flashman added to ignore list, I'll decide later whether to report you to admin for breaking the sites number 1 rule "Be nice to all MoneySavers"

I'm asking for money saving and general tips on buying a used car, I don't need to be insulted. Thanks.

Remind me when you're doing something for the first time to come and make snide remarks in your thread.

Not at all old chap (although it matters little to me if you spit your dummy out).

I simply find it hard to believe that someone displaying such a staggering level of naivity could have passed a driving test.

Have a quick look at his post history.

    Low grade troll.
  • Just drive it home, good practice. If you manage that without hitting anything then you should be ok in future. If you write the car off on the way home then just accept that driving really is not for you.
