Hi
I have opened one of these accounts and my £100 to activate the issue of the card went in today.
Can someone else who has one tell me if they know if the Visa debit card is on-line or off-line or if it has a CGC function (an indicator of being off line). I was offered but declined the cheque book.
Next time I top up with petrol and I have the card I will find out, but I would not mind knowing before hand.
Cheers
James

It's an 'offline' Visa Debit and should come with a cheque guarantee facility (although this may have changed since I opened my last account). Generally speaking, most, if not all full current accounts come with offline debit cards.Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.0 -
Can I also ask at the moment I sign in "without a token", is this something to do with the migration to another system and am I going to end up with a card reader or is something else been dreamed up?
All help appreciated0 -

"without a token" site is for branch customers
The "with a token" is for business banking and high net worth customers like myself
(I refer you to the photo of my BOS card on the other thread)
You won't need a card reader but Reward account cards do work in other card readers (just tried it with my Nationwide card reader) :idea:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
So do you not think I will get such a classy card as your own. It is not a reward account so I will not end up with that odd thing with the band down the front of it. I like the thistle design cards. They may have redesigned them again as Halifax is no more is scotland, there are no halifax branches. I wonder what it means when we go south can we use LTSB or Halifax?? Probably be a few years yet before it all gets sorted.0

Also if you have any approved offers what does the screen look like?
Could someone put on up with the confidential stuff removed.
Cheers

The card is off line but BOS do not issue cards with CGC function now.
