    Hey TamVilla80!

Awww, that's where I got my wedding dress from, Lichfield!! It's so lovely there :-)

I don't feel a thing yet - I only got engaged Christmas Day, and we only decided a date at the end of Feb so as you can imagine it has been a whirlwind few months! My OH is in the Armed Forces too, so he has been off training, due to pass out 3 weeks tomorrow. So it's been a busy few months! I reckon come the 1st of August, I will be bricking it then hehe. It's going to be a military wedding, so I can't let him out do me and my dress!!!

How's your wedding plans coming along? You got much sorted yet?

You have made me feel better, everyone looks at me gone out when I said we were getting married in 12 months - I just don't think it takes years to plan one day?! If you can do it in 8 months, I dont need to do anything for a few weeks yet :rotfl: We've booked the ceremony, reception venue, dj and the transport (which was the first thing I did, dont ask!).

Hope your last few weeks go ok!

Morning all, how are we all feeling today? Got our organising heads on???

Oh this is getting exciting seeing how many of us there are out there getting married, and I know that those that have come along won't be half the amount that there is on the forums! So far we have three double daters and I'm sure there will be a lot more to come!

Sorry I wasn't around to update last night, this thing called work gets in the way sometimes!!!!

So. What do we all have planned to organise next week? I am away on Monday and I plan to nip into a warehouse that I have a card for and get some supplies as I want to practice making a bouquet for me and wands for the flower girls! I think I must be mad! Yes I know I'm 18 months away but knowing me it will take all that time to get them done!!!

Thanx for adding me. ....I forgot Location - Birmingham

My dress is Baby pink and i also manged to find a lovely pink veil that matched perfectly. The hardest part was my shoes but all sorted now. I also booked a pink Limo :-)

We have a pre-photo shoot this sunday and i just cant decide what to wear..lol i dont want to wear pink.

Hope the sun shines for all of you :-)

going by your name sapphire I would never have guessed that you like the colour pink! A girl I know locally had pink in her dress, pink bridesmaids and flowergirl, pink flowers and a pink car and it was fabulous! I'm sure your day will be fantastic.

And if you want to wear pink for the photo shoot then what the h3ll!! It's your choice!

We've got our 2nd taster session at the hotel next week :)

Had one before and pretty much sorted it, but want to go back and re-try the deserts and show our bridesmaid / best man :)

    Our menu is:

    Tomato Soup
    or
    Chicken Liver Pate

    ---

Roast Chicken with all trimmings (including stuffing and yorkshire pud)

    ---

    Fruit Salad
    or
Cheesecake (not chosen this yet but we're deciding between forest fruits, summer fruits, mango and vanilla :D)

Ha, yeah it can be done! I technically didn't start organising my wedding until the start of March. It's amazing how much you can get done when you want too! I have about 250 coming to the evening reception too, so it's not a small amount of people to have to cater for! For your flowers, go to Posy Bowl on Amington Road, the lady in there is really good value for money and she does some beautiful pieces from what I can see! I shall let you know after my wedding day!

You sound quite well organised! We have been so lucky - considering we started so late, not once have we had anyone say to us that they can't cater for us on that day or it's too late a notice.

What are you going to go for your dress? Or don't you know yet? Have you got a colour scheme? Oooo so exciting!! :D

Thanks, we don't have much to do now so we should be fine - famous last words!!!

We've been re-arranging (now on 3rd date for wedding) for the past 18 months. But honestly we've discovered it could be done in 6 months :)

We got engaged in April this year and were originally planning on having the wedding October/November time, so we would have been doing everything in 6 months. As it's turned out, the venue we've gone for was only available in January (literally they had one Saturday free for the next 18 months...) so we've got 9 months to plan.

Although only 6 left now! :D

6 months is plenty enough! Originally I had 7 months to plan mine and just about had it all in place, apart from a couple of things, but then we had to put it back 12 months - circumstances outwith our control. This only lets me relax a bit more although all the important stuff is in place. I need to get organised with evening entertainment but don't want to fork out a fortune for a band so last night was trying to talk a friend into getting her husband to do music for me as he has all the equipment and I would just have to ask guests what they want played!

Well hello there everyone, how have we all been? Everyone been working hard on the plans? I've been away for a few days to see DF and now rather deflated as I'm back home again without him :(
Never mind, back on here to keep the planning going and keep the smile on my face!!!
