Car Paint problems

Can anyone tell me what rights I have regarding the paint on my brand new car?
I have had the car 3 months and a last week a nice bird left its mess on the bonnet, roof and a side panel I removed it with out delay. However, the other day I noticed that there were marks left and can be seen in the right light. Went to the dealer as I believe the paint finish is sub standard they say this is a problem with bird mess and tree sap however, it can be removed with a professional all over polish at £110.
You would expect the paint to be more robust wouldn’t you?
Do I have any rights as I believe the paint is sub standard, I paid the deposit on my credit card.
Does anyone have any ideas? Or do I just pay every time a bird does its business.

Ha this is funny.
I happen to know a fair bit about car detailing.
The dealer is correct, its residue left over from sap or the poop.
It probably stands out more because its unblemished paint.
The paint itself has not been affected. IT would have to get through the clear coat first which unless its a new breed of acid s**ting bird aint gonna happen.
£110 is also not necessary. A cheap tar and bug remover (auto glyms is very good) will take it straight off. Either that or a very mild cutting compound such as autoglym paint renovator.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Thank I will give it a go.0
