Charged for bus journey I had already paid for. Should I fight for refund?
Re-doing this thread as the original has completely disappeared!
A wee update for anyone who is interested.
I had booked a journey from London-Euston to Belfast by train and ferry for myself and the children. When we got off the ferry in dublin we were made to pay for the bus to the city centre train station. I disputed this at the time, but had to pay up. Some people on the forum felt that I was wrong and should have had to pay for this part of the journey, but my argument was that when I booked through raileasy the site said that the price paid was for all parts of the journey shown.
I have eventually had response from raileasy, and I was right!!!! I should not have been made to pay for that part of the journey as I had an all-inclusive ticket for the trip.
They contacted irish ferries for me, as I had had no response from them, and apparently the bus was only a rail replacement service, and temporary, so the problem should not happen for others. Raileasy are going to ask for a refund for me as i got nowhere myself. It's not a huge amount of money, but it's the principle of the thing.
