  • Had a funny conversation at the school this morning about domestic goddesses Vix, someone asked me what i do with my days now i'm not 'working' . My reply was that i'm a useless domestic goddess, however my dogs love their daily exercise and after that i was watching last night's Spooks (which was amazing) and i *may* do some washing and i *may* do a roast for tea, i'm a free spirit... (or a lazy moo, whichever)

  • I'm not sure I could handle not working, being entirely up to me how I spent my days I'd prob get even less done around the house than I do now!
I think I need the stress and pressure to be productive!
  • My GF scored a 1960s Laura Ashley sundress and a 1972 French Connection Sundress from my mum last night; she had packed them up in tissue paper and put them in a drawer when mum and dad moved rooms in the mid 70s.

Today it's grey suit for me with black shirt, gold red and blue jacquard tie, red socks and brown suede tassle loafers blue pocket square.

Oh my god, this flight was meant to leave at 9.25am. Latest estimated departure time is 1pm!! :(

Gonna use my complimentary Easyjet refreshment vouchers for a large glass of wine I think!!
  • v jealous Douglas, rly don't think the fella's mum would have anything if interest, added to which she's not my greatest fan haha..

Alex, how are you keeping your cool? I'd be fuming like one of the people they show making a scene on Airport lol

Alex - the glass of wine sounds like a good idea!

Flight from Gatwick was delayed last night, got home around midnight. Knackered today and have caught the cold. Back down to earth after London fashionland!

Wearing jumper, jeans and flat boots - such bliss after 3 days in dresses and heels.
    xx

I used to work 50 hours a week and thought that! Now I work that a month, but with blogging, crafting, doing the housework, entertaining the children etc I don't havetime to get bored.

Alex I hope they have boarded you onto your flight by now, nightmare.

Funny enough my GF’s late parents took to me straight away despite the fact that they were very conservative Irish Catholics and I am a Scottish Episcopalian (like Anglican) slacker and my mum and dad took to Phil straight away too.
Though Phil thought it was because when I first met them I turned up in a suit (well it was an orphaned black suit jacket and a pair of grey trousers) and dress shirt (dark blue on blue broad shadow stripe I just realised I haven’t seen it for a while) and I talked to them. Unlike her older sisters BF who turned up in a shell suit, hardly spoke to them, and ate the meal that was put in the middle of the table for all of them (he took all the chicken and just left the veg and spuds), so I didn't have much to beat in the stakes for favourite BF.
I didn’t meet him till years later we went to visit her sister in Wales and he had the cheek to look me up and down, when I returned the favour I spotted his monitoring tag round his ankle under his joggers and laughed at him. We still have never spoken apart from me repeating what Phil said to him as he was ignoring her when we got to the door - ignorant Muppet.

That's very generous of your Mum, Douglas. I found an early Laura Ashley frock at a boot sale last summer for 5p and as it was much too big for me I sold it on eBay for £70 - if it's got the Made In Wales label it's a goodie.

I scored a fabulous vintage dress off eBay at the weekend for less than a tenner, weirdly the label usually sells for around £100 but no-one else bid, it may be my London Fashion Week frock as it arrived this morning and fits like a dream.

No luck with Dad's curtains, I'll have to try Dunelm later in the week but as usual came back with a bagful of vintage bits and pieces from the charity shops instead.

    Today's outfit:
1960's lime green lace tie-neck sleeveless blouse (eBay £1.24)
1970's orange suede shorts (Vintage Village @ Clothes Show £10)
Grey suede platform shoeboots (Topshop sale £10)
Vintage grey oversized sunnies (20p Car boot sale)
    Usual silver and ethnic jewellery

Lucky you, goan!! I was quite excited when I saw there was a car boot to be held on Sunday on the showground I live next to..We went on Sunday morning, and it was q small, but ok..
I managed to pick up some black glittery M&S pumps, for £1!!
And a couple of boooks on cakes, and sewing. Other than that just got a few bits for my friends' little girl..
But it was nice to not have to travel 30mins for a car boot! :)
