Yeah. I agree with that Alex. I don't bother with ASOS now unless things are in the sale, as it's a faff to return.
And whilst I like some of the things on the cheaper online-only stores like boohoo etc, don't think i'd bother with them either. hmm.
  • Thanks alex, i havn't got anything right now that i just love, so maybe that's what i need to do, wear out clothes i have got, once into a new size, chaeapo shop, untill i get to the investment stage- sounds like a plan;)

Agreed with buying from online shopping, i like to touch fabrics, inspect seams etc, none of which can be done online, i am nearly always dissappointed with the purchase as with the recent people tree faff. I have turned up a few nice bits of ebay recently tho!!

Back from dog walk, i am soaked, the dogs are soaked, my floors are soaked, the car is soaked, Yip, autum has finally arrived!!

  • Douglas - Your posts are a pleasure to read :)

Re: buying online. I do it all the time but only if it's free to return. I don't mind the trips to the post office (it's a 5 minute walk) and saves me paying silly prices for parking in Birmingham!

Like you PF, I only buy stuff from ASOS if it's in the sale/clearance. All other online stores I use TopCashback or where some sort of discount is available.

Todays outfit (everything else is in the wash!)

    Skull vest - All Saints
Black faded skinny jeans - Topshop
    Lumberjack hooded shirt/jacket - Superdry
Gazillion year old black converse (complete with holes)

I must sound like a tramp!
  • I think ebays different to buying online (for me anyway) I tend to only search for specific items or brands I already own/ know I like or want.
  • I buy most stuff online but the only womens clothes shops in my town are DP,NL and Matalan. The NL and DP are both quite small too. There are no independent shops, all bar one of the charity shops are chains too. It means we're a rubbish town for shopping so even the charity shops are fairly rubbish.

I decided to re arrange the bedroom today and then pack away all my summer clothes into boxes. I'm in pink converse style shoes, blue bootleg jeans, khaki skinny tshirt, butterfly print scarf and a large metal bangle - can't decide on it's colour, gunmetal maybe?
  • ooops these just fell into my basket and managed to pay for themselves with no help from me honest!

    Afternoon :j!

Its a horrible, wet afternoon here :(. I think its safe to assume that my Autumn/Winter wardrobe is out to stay.

Got to spend the day in St Andrews on Saturday - gorgeous town. Spent most of the day at RAF Leuchars airbase watching the airshow - was fun (the Red Arrows were amazing) and the little man enjoyed it (well what he didn't sleep through!) Had to dress for the weather though and wore:

    Moto bootcut jeans - topshop
    Long striped top - H&M
    Black Cardi - H&M
Black Rockports - the grass was water logged!

Anyway, today has been such a lazy day in tracksuit bottoms and a baggy t-shirt however I'm at college tonight so I've just changed into my college uniform (black trousers, black tunic, black shoes) I have added thick black tights and I'm looking out my cardi again!!!

    Hope everyone is well!x
    Make £10 a day challenge (August) - £175/£310
  • What you doing at college Mia??

Caroline, I feel we have the same taste :). Can;t wait for them to arrive.

I can't put my summer wardrobe away as I am going away for October half term, lucky down here we get two weeks. So will eeek it out for as long as possible.

I have already planned my wardrobe for tomorrow, waterproof snow pants, baselayer, waterproof jacket and walking boots. Accessorised with a pruning saw, bevel and hand drill with a scent of campfire and mud. Yes first day of forest school and the weather forecast is horrendous

tell ya something i'm not wondering off this forum again, its scary and nasty out there !!!

    Evening,

The weather's so grim here - need some boots that don't let in water. Horrible to get feet soaked through in the morning and then sit with wet feet at a desk for 8 hours (I'm not one of those office types who dries their socks on the radiators in front of everyone!).

Wore a jumper that I'd bought in Spain back in April and not worn much today, which is good. I hate waste, so like to get the wear out of everything I buy (either that or eBay it).

Off to catch up on blogland.

    xx
